Data subjects

Customers, prospective customers and website users who fill in the contact form or get in touch with the showroom.

Purposes and legal basis

Personal data are processed in order to:

  • answer enquiries sent through the contact form, by phone or by email (legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  • comply with legal or contractual obligations, including the tax and accounting duties connected with the sale of rugs and furs and with cleaning, restoration, storage and remodelling services (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR);
  • with your explicit consent, inform you about promotions, new commercial initiatives, new products and services, including by sending promotional material (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Providing data for the first two purposes is necessary to manage the relationship; missing or incorrect mandatory information may make it impossible to follow up your enquiry. Providing data for promotional purposes is optional and refusal does not affect the relationship.

Processing methods

Data are processed by electronic means and in paper files, in accordance with the principles of fairness, lawfulness, transparency, data minimisation and confidentiality, with appropriate technical and organisational security measures. Messages sent through the contact form are stored together with the IP address and browser information for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

Data retention

Data collected through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to answer the enquiry and in any case no longer than 24 months. Data relating to contracts are kept for the periods required by tax and civil law. Data processed for promotional purposes are kept until consent is withdrawn.

Disclosure

Data are not disseminated. For the purposes above they may be disclosed to parties providing services on behalf of the controller (tax and accounting consultants, IT and hosting providers, couriers), appointed as processors where required. Data are processed within the European Union.

At any time you may exercise the rights set out in Articles 15–22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Requests should be sent to info@baroncelli.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
